Recommend it for couples seeking a peaceful getaway
We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant, the pork chops were very nice, and the horseradish potatoes complemented it perfectly. Susan, the chef, was like a ghost from our past with her Cordon Bleu training, I mean, this lady knows her stuff!
It wasn’t inexpensive, but you know, for what you get, it’s pretty tolerable.

I chose the Historic Elk Mountain Hotel for a cozy getaway, and it did not disappoint. The Queen Room featured charming Victorian decor. The owners were incredibly welcoming and showered us with personal stories about the area. Dinner was a standout, with impressive culinary skills on display. I loved the salmon dish—flavorful and beautifully presented. Breakfast also impressed. the French toast was delightful. Although the lack of air conditioning was noticeable on warmer nights, we managed fine with open windows. Limited coffee facilities were an inconvenience, as there were no in-room machines. Overall, this unique spot delivered memorable moments.

I stayed in a Queen Room for one night. The historic decor was charming and unique, really gave it character. The room was clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax. Friendly staff added a nice touch to the whole experience. However, the lack of nearby dining options was a bit inconvenient, especially since breakfast wasn't included with the room. Overall, the amenities were decent but could've been better considering the price.
